September is Fruits and Veggies - More Matters Month!

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Health and Human Services recommends that at mealtime we fill half of our plates with fruits and vegetables, as depicted in the MyPlate guide Fruits and vegetables are a great source of nutrients such as calcium, fiber, folate, iron, magnesium, potassium, vitamin A and vitamin C to name a few. And nutrients may play a role in reducing the risk of certain diseases!

In furthering our mission to provide health and safety education to children, teens and adults, MORE HEALTH offers the following nutrition lessons in the Tampa Bay area: Fueled For Success, Fit For Life, and Eat Healthy, Be Active. MORE HEALTH and Tampa Bay Rays Baseball recognizes the importance of education, and the role that it plays in providing our students with the tools necessary to make good nutrition choices for a lifetime of health.
