In 1989, MORE HEALTH
began as a project of the Junior League of Tampa, developed by Nancy B. Crane, to promote health, safety, and
injury prevention education for school aged children. Through a collaborative effort by many community partners, all of the MORE HEALTH lessons are provided free of charge. Twenty-four lessons are taught as high energy, hands-on classroom presentations using giant custom-made visuals, puppets, videos, songs and books. All of the lessons meet many of the Sunshine State Standards for Science, Health, Language, Math, and Physical Education.
In Hillsborough County public and private schools, MORE HEALTH taught 138,000 students in grades K-12 during the 2006-2007 school year. In addition, 62,000 students were taught ten lessons in the Pinellas County schools in grades K-12 this year.
MORE HEALTH continues
its lesson sales program throughout the state of Florida. Visit our
